Phil Giebler

Phil Giebler began his racing career at ten years old and built an impressive karting record in America, winning three national championships and becoming the first American to land a factory drive with the World Championship Tony Kart team. By 1998, Giebler was ranked eighth in the world in karting an accomplishment unparalleled for an American driver. He is only one of two Americans to win an International Karting event in the past twenty-five years.

In 1999, Giebler competed in the world famous ELF/La Filiere Formula Renault Championship. Giebler became the first and only American to win (3 times) in La Filiere's history and finished second in the championship. He was rewarded with an opportunity to drive a factory ELF/Formula 3 ride for the 2000 French Championship. In French F3, he produced 4 wins, 11 podiums, 8 poles, 7 fastest laps and 3 track records in 12 races. He continued his successes in the 2000 UK Formula Palmer / Audi Winter Cup by winning both the Team USA Scholarship and the championship.

In 2001, Phil divided his time between a limited German and British F3 schedule. Although budget constraints were a constant threat from race to race, Giebler made the best of the situation -- doing well at the 2002 Spanish F3 Championship and running a limited F3000 schedule in 2003.

Giebler speaks English, French, Spanish and some Italian and spends his down time working out, studying race car engineering and driving the great tracks of the world on his computer.
